Since 1998, the Andres Institute of Art has welcomed artists from around the world to an
annual three-week Symposium to create outdoor sculptures which become part of the
Institute’s permanent collection.
Now entering its 14 th year, the annual Symposium allows visitors to share in the creative
process of world renowned sculptors; encourages these artists to experience the natural
gifts of our area and our community; and places exciting new work on the mountain each
year.
In addition to the yearly symposia, we are the destination spot for numerous educational
outings, field trips, guided nature walks, and gatherings. The Institute works collaboratively
with local organizations to promote art awareness and education and supports exploration of
modern technology as a tool for the creation of art.
