Nashua Sculpture
Symposium
"Footprints"
In 2008, the Andres Institute of Art co-sponsored the first of the Footprints
Series International Sculpture Symposia in Nashua, NH. This was
co-ordinated through Meri Goyette, a longtime supporter of the arts in
Nashua, John M. Weidman, co-founder and director of the Andres
Institute of Art, the City of Nashua, City Arts Nashua, the Nashua Area
Artists Association and of course, the Andres Institute of Art as the
umbrella organization with it's 501-c-3 status. This allowed donations,
material, guidance to be directed to the Nashua Symposium of that year,
themed "First Footprints". The Institute also supplied material, technical
guidance and the organization of the symposia.

Again in 2009 & 2010 the Andres Institute co-sponsored the second and
third of the Footprints symposia: "Future" & Diversity.

All of these events were, (and are) a great success, and the City of
Nashua has a total of twelve contemporary artworks for the public to
enjoy.
