Satoru Takada comes to the
Andres Institute from Japan.
Born in Tokyo, he graduated from
the Asagaya Art School’s
Painting program in 1963 and
then in 1968 he graduated from
the sculpture program at
the Taiheiyo Art School.
Satoru’s art has been included
in gallery exhibitions
worldwide, as well as through
his participation in Symposiums
in Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam and
Russia. From 1990 to 2003,
Mr. Takada was a lecturer in
sculpture at the Musashino Art
University.
As another part of his career
spanning over 35 years, Satoru
has been awarded several prizes
for his work like the Museum of
Modern Art’s Saitama Prize at
the Contemporary Japan Sculpture
Exhibiton.
His work has been enjoyed
internationally and now can be
shared by the Andres Institute.
