Bertha
Shortiss comes to us from
Switzerland. She graduated
from the School for Stone
Sculpting, and she attended the
Sculptor School of Mullheim and
the Academy of Art in Basel,
Switzerland. She also attended
the Glassel School of Art in
Houston, Texas. She has
participated in innumerable
individual and group exhibits
internationally (Japan, Canada,
Switzerland, Germany) as well
as numerous symposia in stone
(Germany, Ireland, Viet Nam,
Russia, Switzerland) and snow
(Greenland, Canada, Japan, and
Milwaukee, USA)!!
She has been
awarded many prizes of
distinction throughout her
robust career.
We are pleased
that one of Bertha’s works will
now reside in Brookline, New
Hampshire!
